A frame cover equipped with a bee-eater is inserted at harvest time between the body and the fusegates. The bees can go down into the body, but not the other way around. The beekeeper frame cover is put in place, preferably in the evening, by placing a new empty spike on the body and then the beekeeper, which is harvested the next day.
